Itinerary:

Depart from Pemba at 8h00 for Sito Island.  See dolphins, whales (if in season) on the way.

Stop for a snorkel in the clear blue ocean.  Arrive at Sito Island where you will be welcomed with a Tropical Island drink and taken to the main Lodge for Lunch.  Have a swim after lunch or just

lie on the beach and soak up the sun.  Depart from island and arrive at Pemba late afternoon.

Day 3:

Sleep late and have Brunch before departing for Pemba.  Arrive at Pemba late afternoon

Be at Johannesburg International Departures 2 hours prior to departure time.

Book in your Luggage at LAM Counter 49 -52

Depart Johannesburg International at 12h10.  Arrive at Pemba 15h00 and clear Customs

A representative from “ Visagie World Charters” will meet you at the Airport and take you to the Boat for immediate departure to Sito Island.  Arrive at Island and have a “Special Welcome Tropical Drink” from our friendly staff. Settle into your Chalets and meet at Main Lodge for some Sundowners and Dinner.

 

Thursday:

After breakfast go on a walking trail with an abundance of bird life, Small Game and Rainforest with huge Baobab trees for the nature lover. This is the place to be and to appreciate the background music of the Fish eagle and then you realize you are in Africa. You will be served with ice cold drinks and Lunch under the Baobab Tree. Have a swim after lunch or just lie on the beach and soak up the sun.

Have Sundowners at our Beach Bar whilst watching the magnificent Sunset over the ocean.  Sit around the campfire on the beach and braai Meat or Crayfish on the open fire and watch for shooting stars. The bright moon reflecting on the water having a hypnotic spell of its own.

 

Friday:

Depart Sito Island at 8h00 after breakfast.  Arrive at Historic Ibo Island’s 200-year-old Ghost town with its fascinating History and old buildings. This is where Vasco da Gama rested in 1502. Ibo was a major trading center for ivory and slaves. Visit the 16th Century old Forts. A fascinating journey to a long forgotten era.   Have Lunch on Historic Ibo Island and visit the Main Fort, a magnificent example of  Portuguese architecture in the 1800’s that overlook the entrance to the harbor. Cannons still grace the ramparts and is now inhabited by silversmiths who make jewellery using ancient Arab techniques and tools melting down nickel coins.  Run back to Sito in time for Sundowners and Dinner

 

Saturday:

Sleep late.  Have breakfast at the Main Lodge.   Book a diving, snorkel or canoe trip or just enjoy the sun and beach with a tropical drink. Have lunch at Main Lodge.  Get served with cocktail drinks and Sashimi in front of Main Lodge in the water, cooling down and watching the beautiful Sunset.

Have a dinner consisting of Fish, shellfish or meat. Take part in the Pirate games in the main Lodge after Dinner. If you are with a special partner, exclusively book our traditional Dhow for a romantic Champagne Sundown Cruise into the Sunset and Dinner afterwards. 

 

Sunday:

Have an early breakfast and depart for Pemba. On arrival you will be taken to

Pemba Airport at 12h30 to book in your luggage.  Flight leaves at 14h20

Arrive at Johannesburg International at 19h00.

 

Includes: Return Airfare from Joh-Pemba-Joh , Boat transfers to Sito Island and back,  4 nights Dinner Bed & Breakfast (per person sharing) on Sito Island, trip to Historic Ibo island (min 2 people)

After Breakfast, enjoy a day of Deep Sea Fishing or Fly-fishing on one of our 28 ft Cat boats or book a boat trip to snorkel or Scuba Dive.  There is great fishing and diving spots close to the island. For the more adventures guest, book an overnight canoe trip around Sito Island.

Cocktail drinks at Bar or in the ocean at Sunset.

 

Tuesday:

Have a late breakfast.  A Day of leisure. If you are with a special partner, exclusively book our traditional Dhow for a romantic Champagne Sundown Cruise into the Sunset and Dinner afterwards

 

Wednesday:

Have an early breakfast and depart for Pemba. On arrival you will be taken to

Child Policy:

Children 3 years and younger eat free.  Children between 4 and 11 years pay 50% of adult meal rates.

Children aged 12 years and older pay adult meal rates.

Children under 3 yrs stay free if sharing with adults.  Children 4 – 12 yrs pay 50% of adult rate when sharing with adults.

Children  12 – 18 yrs  in own room pay full adult rates

Payment/Cancellation Policy

Full pre-payment required 20 days prior to arrival.  50 % fee if  cancelled less that 20 days prior to arrival.  100% fee if cancelled less than 15 days prior to arrival.  No refund will be given to a guest leaving prior to booked departure date.
