The region of Sabah is one of 13 member states that make up Malaysia. Sabah is located in the northern corner of the island of Borneo. The capital, Kota Kinabalu, is located on the western shore of the island. Note that Borneo is the wildest place on earth and the world's third largest island after Greenland and Australia.

The Kota Kinabalu International Airport operates daily flights to all major capitals of Southeast Asia. AirAsia, Cebu Pacific and Malaysia Airlines are the main airlines operating from this airport. The airport is situated 10 kilometers to the south of the city. A taxi ride will not take more than 10 minutes. |

A bus service runs from Kota Kinabalu to Brunei every 2 hours. The jorney takes up to 6 hours dependig on the traffic. |
