Day 1

Depart from Pemba at 5h00 for St Lazarus Banks. Fish all the way for an abundance of species. Lunch and soft drink on board. Arrive at St Lazarus Banks for some EXTREME fishing. Fish all afternoon.  Take a break for Sundowners and Dinner whilst watching the magnificent sunset over the ocean.  Do some serious Night Fishing until you are so tired that you fall into your bed for a few hours deserved sleep.

Day 2

Awake for Fishing and more Fishing.  Meals on board served island-style – no set times.  Fish or Fly fish until late morning. Lunch and soft drinks on board. Return to Pemba whilst fishing all the way. Arrive at Pemba late afternoon.

Awake for coffee, early morning fishing and breakfast in-between. Fish until late morning. Have Lunch and soft drinks on board. Return to Pemba whilst fishing all the way. Arrive at Pemba late afternoon.

Be at Johannesburg International Departures 2 hours prior to departure time. Book in your Luggage at LAM Counter 87 - 88. Depart Johannesburg International at 08h40.  Arrive at Pemba 13h40 and clear Customs. A representative from “Visagie World Charters” will meet you at the Airport and take you to the Boat for immediate departure to Island.  Arrive at Island and have a “Special Welcome Tropical Drink” from our friendly staff. Settle into your Chalets and meet your Fishing Crew at the main Lodge for some Sundowners and Dinner. Sleep on Island.

Thursday:

Depart from Island at 5h00 for St Lazarus Banks, weather permitting. Breakfast on board. Fish all the way for an abundance of species. Lunch and soft drinks on board. Arrive at St Lazarus Banks for some EXTREME fishing. Fish all afternoon.  Take a break for Sundowners and Dinner whilst watching the magnificent sunset over the ocean.  Do some serious Night Fishing until you are so tired that you fall into your bed for a few hours deserved sleep.

Friday:

Saturday: 

Awake for Fishing and more Fishing.  Meals on board served island-style – no set times.  Fish or Fly fish until late morning. Lunch and soft drinks on board. Return to Island whilst fishing all the way. Arrive at Island in time for sundowners and to watch the unique sun setting in all the most beautiful colours. Dinner in main Lodge.  Sleep on Island where you can hear the sea a few meters from your Chalet.

Sunday:

Have an early breakfast and depart for Pemba – fish all the way. On arrival you will be taken to Pemba Airport to book in your luggage. Flight leaves 14h30. Arrives Johannesburg 19h00. Tell your friends about the lovely time you had and plan your return trip!

Wednesday

Be at Johannesburg International Departures 2 hours prior to departure time. Book in your Luggage at LAM Counter 87 –88.  Depart Johannesburg International at 08h40.  Arrive at Pemba 13h40 and clear Customs. You will be met by Representatives from Nautilus Resort and taken to Resort to book in and enjoy the resort’s excellent facilities, including the swimming pool overlooking the azure ocean. Organise your tackle and clothing for the Island. Try your luck at the Casino or just simply sit back and relax.

 
Thursday

Depart by boat at 08h00 after breakfast for the island of Quirimba or Sito. Fish all the way and arrive late afternoon. Arrive at Island and have a “Special Welcome Tropical Drink” from our friendly staff. Settle into your Chalets and meet your Fishing Crew at the main Lodge for some Sundowners and Dinner. Sleep on Island.

Friday
Depart Quirimba or Sito Island at 05h00 weather permitting – fish all the way and arrive at St Lazarus Banks late morning. FISH, FISH, FISH, SLEEP and FISH! Meals on board served island style. No set times and no set meals!  Fish your preference of fish species like Wahoo, Dorado, Dogtooth Tuna, Cuta, Mackerel, Sailfish, Marlin, Yellow Fin Tuna, King Fish etc. Break for Sundowners and Dinner.  Do some serious Night Fishing until you are so tired that you fall into your bed for a few hours deserved sleep.

Saturday
Awake for Fishing and more Fishing.  Meals on board served island style – no set times.  Fish or Fly fish for your preferred species. Lunch and soft drinks onboard. FISH, FISH, FISH  the rest of the day and well into the night. Sleep aboard.

Sunday

Awake for your last morning of extreme fishing at St Lazarus. Return to Quirimba or Sito Island whilst fishing all the way. Arrive at Island in time for sundowners and to watch the unique sunset in all the most beautiful colours. Dinner in main Lodge. 

Monday
A day of Fishing and/or Fly Fishing between the islands and offshore for your preference of species or take a break from fishing and visit the Historic Ibo Island’s 200-year-old Ghost Town with its fascinating history and old buildings. This is where Vasco da Gama rested in 1502. Ibo was a major trading centre for ivory and slaves. Visit the 16th Century old Forts. A fascinating journey to a long forgotten era.   Have Lunch on Historic Ibo Island and visit the Main Fort, a magnificent example of Portuguese architecture in the 1800’s that overlooks the entrance to the harbour. Cannons still grace the ramparts and is now inhabited by silversmiths who make jewellery using ancient Arab techniques and tools melting down nickel coins. Walk in the footsteps of yester year. 

Tuesday
Breakfast at 7h30. Depart from Quirimba or Sito Island at 08h00 for Pemba and fish all the way back. Overnight at Nautilus Casino Beach Resort in Pemba. Be adventurous and visit the Casino.

Wednesday
Enjoy Nautilus Resort and all its facilities. The swimming pool is great after a trip like this or do a Village Tour through Town. Depart Resort at 10h20 Arrive Pemba Airport 10h25 to weigh in your Luggage.
Depart Pemba 13h10. Arrive Johannesburg 18h30.

The above itinerary may be adjusted to suit weather conditions or your personal requirements. We will do St Lazarus on the first possible day that weather permits us, otherwise we will fish around the islands. If you wish to adjust the schedule yourself, you are welcome to do so. We might even stay at St Lazarus for 3 days. A day of light tackle fishing or Fly Fishing around the islands is also an excellent addition to this itinerary.
