Dear Martin and Annetjie,

I feel intimidated to write this e,mail to you as I feel I may not be able to compete with the literary prowess of my two partners.I have questioned Coenraad as to whom he got to assist him but he says if it comes from the heart it is easy to write so well!!  Ramsay and I had a great time and I think for Ramsay in particular it was very good to know that he could do something like that and not get sea sick and that he could still catch fish like he has always been able

to do.  It was good for me and my son to spend some time together and to get to know each other again.  None of this would however have been possible had it not been for the quality of the experience ,your expertise and the very good company that we enjoyed.  It was the highlight

of our 2004 year.

Thanks once again for a memorable couple of days

Bill and Ramsay

Dear Martin and Annetjie,

Having arrived home safely at 2 o’clock this morning I greet you after a

most memorable experience which rates very highly in my considerable bank of such things.  I am sitting here at my office desk, which is piled high with matters that I am reluctant to concentrate on because involuntarily my mind wanders back to a glorious full moon peeping through the palms, waters ofchampagne turquoise, indigo and ink, the lullaby of gentle waves slapping onto your personal beach, colgate shampoo and red wine while submerged in the tepid sea water, mangoes, coconuts, big fat crabs, prawns and Dorado fordinner, schools of dolphins slicing so gracefully in front of the bow, this

way and that, boiling patches of yellow fin tuna in a feeding frenzy, the stunning lighting flashes of blue, green, yellow and white of Dorado as they torpedo past, the fishing lines whistling in the wind as St Lazarus braces herself for the next swell and the propellers bite firmly as she lifts, rolls and plunges on, as free as the birds she follows.  Then the scream of the reel as the noble quarry hits and challenges, while the sweat drips freely and the sun takes a dead rest on us.  These are some of the things

that now occupy my mind and ensure procrastination.  Having cast hooked and after 30 minutes landed a 40 pound Dorado with nineweight fly equipment and not falling off the rolling deck into the deep blue

in the process, I can now claim a degree of fame for acrobatics ballet andagility all combined, none of which even singularly I have previously received any accolades for!   That particular fish and the experience it gave me shall stay with me always.

The comaradie, the banter and laughs, stories and jokes “without prejudice and with all rights reserved,” all contributed to a far too short but action packed memorable Pemba Island experience.  I am envious of Kirriepiel’s youthful energy patience and ability.  He is a definite keeper!  I thank him, Kim and all your staff but more especially with the warmest enthusiasm I thank Oom and Tannie Kaptein for making it all happen in your own quiet and most capable and competent way.   In terms of the quality, quantity and

variety of what is potentially available at the end of the line on the hook, what you have to offer, it is easily world class.  It is so obvious that you both love and enjoy what you do and share with others.  You must always make sure that you make the time to enjoy what you have together because it is

rare and very special.  Until the next time which undoubtedly will be soon, my very best wishes and

thanks again to you both.

With kind regards

Coenraad
